Molly Soden-Freeth has established Act 2 Performing Arts CIC, a Community Interest Company dedicated to providing accessible dance, drama and musical theatre opportunities for young adults aged 16–35.
Act 2 delivers inclusive dance and drama workshops in SEND schools and community groups, with sessions specifically designed for individuals with disabilities. The workshops focus on building confidence, communication skills and self-expression in a supportive and creative environment.
Alongside its inclusive programme, Act 2 also offers musical theatre rehearsals and performance opportunities for aspiring local performers. The aim is to equip participants with practical skills and real stage experience to support future careers in the performing arts industry.
First production marks 20th anniversary celebration
Act 2’s debut production, High School Musical On Stage, will take place this March, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the much-loved Disney film.

All profits from ticket sales will be reinvested directly into future musical productions and disability-focused arts projects within the local community, helping to ensure the sustainability and growth of the organisation’s work.
Molly said the vision behind Act 2 is simple: to make theatre accessible, empowering and community-driven.
Residents are encouraged to support the initiative by attending the show and helping build a lasting platform for inclusive performing arts in the High Peak.
