New Mills Fashion Week returns this autumn (1–8 October 2025), bringing a week of creative, sustainable fashion events organised by local community group the New Mills FashionActivistas.
The group, founded during lockdown by women passionate about style but concerned about the environmental and social impacts of fast fashion, has been running free fashion events for five years. Now in its sixth year, the 2025 programme will feature a Clothes Swap, an inspiring Talk, and a creative Window Display.

A spokesperson for the New Mills FashionActivistas said:
“We set up New Mills Fashion Week to create space for people to rethink fashion in fun, creative, and sustainable ways. This year’s programme is all about showing that re-using and repairing clothing isn’t just better for the planet, but can also bring joy and connection.”
