Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service to Open Recruitment for Wholetime Firefighters

Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service (DFRS) is set to open applications for new wholetime firefighters from Wednesday 8 October 2025, inviting residents of Derbyshire – and those living within 10 miles of the county border – to apply for an exciting and rewarding career in the fire service.

Under the campaign banner “It Starts with You”, successful applicants will join a top-performing fire and rescue service dedicated to its vision of Making Derbyshire Safer Together.
